Jamison T. Boyd O.D.

Dr Jamison T. Boyd is a central Illinois native who grew up in Lovingtion. He graduated from Lovington High School in 1987. After graduation from Eastern Illinois University in 1991 he attended the Illinois College of Optometry. Upon graduation with a doctorate in Optometry in 1995 he moved back to Central Illinois to Join Dr. Thomas C. Best at his Sullivan office. Dr. Boyd spent 10 years also working with Opthalmologist Dr. Philip Alward at the Center for Sight in Decatur, Illinois. In 2010, he purchased Dr Best’s practice which consisted of both the Sullivan and Tuscola locations. Dr. Boyd married Brandi L Myers in 1997 and has two daughters, Makenna and Madelyn. Dr. Boyd enjoys golf, snowmobiling, and gardening in his spare time.

Robert J. Blumthal O.D.

Dr. Robert J. Blumthal is an Illinois native who graduated cum laude from Northeastern Illinois in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Psychology. He graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1981. While attending optometry school, Dr. Blumthal was selected to Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities and the Gold Key Optometric Honor Society. He received the prestigious Bausch and Lomb Award for clinical excellence in contact lenses. Dr. Blumthal has practiced for the past forty years in Paris, Peoria, Charleston and Springfield, Illinois. Dr. Blumthal is a member of the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Blumthal is an optometrist who believes in serving the community, as he has been a volunteer optometrist at Catholic Charities St. Clare Vision Clinic in Springfield, Illinois from 1997-2015. He was an adjunct clinical professor for Southern College of Optometry from 2010-2015. Dr. Blumthal served as President of The Illinois Optometric Association from 2008-2009 and was recipient of the Illinois Optometric Association Optometrist of the Year award in 2018. Dr. Blumthal practices full scope Optometry, which includes diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, family eye care, contact lenses and low vision. Dr. Blumthal is accepting new patients in both Sullivan and Tuscola. He accepts Medicare assignments as well as participates in most insurance plans.
