Tuscola & Sullivan Eye Care Clinics are full service eye clinics with a large modern optical department. We offer stylish, designer frames for children and adults. Dr. Boyd and Dr. Busey treat all diseases and infections of the eye, as well as eye trauma and injury. They are therapeutically licensed to diagnose and treat diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. They provide thorough, comprehensive refractive exams and prescribe eyeglasses and contacts including new bifocal contacts.  

We also carry prescription sunglasses and safety glasses. Patients will receive a custom fitting from a certified optician.


Tom Best

Dr. Jamison T. Boyd is a licensed doctor of optometry. He graduated from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois in 1991. After graduating from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois in 1995, he began working with Dr. Thomas C. Best at the Tuscola Eye Care Center in Tuscola, Illinois, Sullivan Eye Care in Sullivan, Illinois and The Center for Sight with Ophthalmologist, Phillip Alward in Decatur, Illinois. He lives in rural Tuscola with his wife, and their two daughters.


Dr. Busey grew up in Georgetown, IL and graduated from Hope Christian High School in Danville, IL. Dr. Busey knew from an early age that he wanted to be in the medical field. He attended Millikin University where he studied pre-med, then attended Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL. There, he received his Doctor of Optometry degree and completed an externship at the Ft. Sheridan Army Base. Dr. Busey has been seeing patients in the Decatur area for almost 25 years. He provides eye care for the entire family, including contacts, diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease and providing pre- and post-operative cataract examinations. Dr. Busey is DPA and TPA certified which allows for the diagnosis and treatment of eye conditions. In his free time, Dr. Busey enjoys running and has completed several marathons. He is a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Decatur where he serves as Sunday school teacher and is currently a deacon. He enjoys going on mission trips with his church and has been to China, Africa and recently Alaska. He is a member of the Illinois Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
